a (kit-kat) symphony of flavours

As a kid of the 60's, I fondly remember seeing Kit Kats (originally known as Rowntrees Chocolate Crisp) being sold via vending machines on train station platforms, and also trying to win the two bar ones from arcade games at many a seaside resort; the one where you flicked a ball bearing around and around hoping it would land in the right hole. I'm not sure I ever did win one, but the thrill of putting in the old halfpenny or penny and trying, always seemed well worth the disappointment when you lost.

They have always remained a firm favourite with me over the years, ther chocolate biscuit may come and go but Kit Kat for me reigns supreme.

In the U.K. we take a break, we have a Kit Kat, the Kit Kat the whole and nothing but the Kit Kat. We have maybe two choices, regular or chunky, (apart from the once on a blue moon special) after that a Kit Kat is a Kit Kat is a Kit Kat, right? WRONG.

Well it is if you live in Japan or other arts of the world. What follows are not mock ups, not an April Fools. These are true flavoured Kit Kats that are available or have been available in the land of the rising sun and elsewhere. Interestingly, Some of them are only available in certain areas of Japan, due to local products or tastes.

Enjoy a good Kit Kat? Maybe you would like to add some of these to a bucket list to try?

I will add photos of the one's missing as I can get them, and if you know of any more, please let me know ...
